What is Sandy Bridge?
Sandy Bridge is the successor to the Nehalem micro architecture, the code name for the latest generation of Intel Mainstream processors.
That’s so special about Sandy Bridge Laptop is on Turbo Boost to give you peak performance when you need it and Hyper Threading for all your multi-tasking, as with the 1st Generation Core Processors. To do several tasks at the same time, you can have 4-way or even 8-way processing with Hyper Threading. When multi-tasking on your laptop or computer, you also have a larger cache size which will give you better responsiveness.
Sandy Bridge CPU will support OpenCL 1.1, DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 3.0. Based Core i5 and Core i3 is the latest CPU that a vast improvement over the previous Arrandale-bases/Clarkdale. Without a core size increase, its performance will be increased.
